What if your everyday life could become your most important spiritual practice?

Many spiritual paths say you must
leave your life in order to truly practice.

What happens when you isolate yourself in a spiritual bubble?
How does your practice grow when you only surround yourself
with like-minded people who have the same spiritual goals?

Embracing the reality of your everyday life
is when practice really begins.

Rushing out the door late for school, spilling your coffee, paying bills,
laughing, feeling the warm sun on your skin, embracing a loved one.
All of this is no less spiritual than ringing a bell and meditating.

Life as it is, is practice.

There is a way to fully embrace your relationships and responsibilities
as the fertile ground of your spirituality.

This is what I call Embodied Zen

Practice is the foundation of my life.

Gendai Sensei Zen Teacher

“I was raised in a Catholic household in the midwest. And as I grew up I started to explore my own spirituality outside of a religious structure. Then when I found Zen, I discovered a practice that wasn’t about gaining, but rather letting go.

Challenging me to let go of my beliefs, ideas, and concepts about myself and the world in order to awaken and see reality directly. Being able to practice in life has been the root of my spiritual path for over a decade.

My family and responsibilities have allowed me to integrate the deep wisdom of this practice with my daily life. I am forever grateful to all those who came before me for maintaining and sharing in this wonderful practice.”
